North Shore Rescue is continuing its search today for an elderly woman with dementia who has been missing since 9 a.m. Friday morning.
Joan Warren is described as a 76-year-old Caucasian female with a slim build who is 5 feet 8 inches tall. She was last seen wearing a turquoise jacket and black pants and left Sunrise seniors home in the 900-block of Lynn Valley Road.
RCMP and North Shore Rescue have been handing out flyers and asking residents to check their backyards, carports, outbuildings, ravine areas and any other places where a person might seek shelter.
Warren has Alzheimer’s but is very mobile and can communicate.
Anyone who spots Warren is asked to call 911 immediately.
