A fatal three-car collision on the Sea to Sky Highway on Friday night was a result of a vehicle crossing lanes into oncoming traffic, police say.
The collision on Highway 99 near Culliton Creek left one woman dead and three people injured.
A southbound vehicle lost control and drove into oncoming traffic, and struck a limousine travelling north.
The southbound vehicle then rotated back into the southbound lane and struck a school bus carrying students from Surrey, B.C.
Darcy J. Balcomb of San Diego, Calif. is dead, and her husband and two children, ages 8 and 12, were injured. They were treated at Squamish General Hospital and later released.
The highway was closed for approximately five hours while the investigation took place.
