A coat rack allegedly used by reality TV star Ryan Jenkins to hang himself in a Hope, B.C. motel room two years ago has been put up for sale.
The 32-year-old was facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of his ex-wife, Jasmine Fiore, 28, when he was found hanging from his belt in late August 2009.
The coat rack is listed at $1,750 USD on the website Ghouls Like Us, which specializes in macabre memorabilia related to crime scenes and serial killers.
The site claims to have "full documentation and progressive photos" of the removal of the rack from the Thunderbird Motel.
"The item comes with the actual Blue air freshner (sic) as still has the smell associated with it," the listing reads.
Jenkins, a Calgary real estate developer, had moved to California to appear on a VH1 reality show. He fled the U.S. 24 hours after Fiore's body was found in a dumpster outside Los Angeles.
She was missing her teeth and the ends of her fingers, and had to be identified using the serial numbers on her breast implants.
Jenkins' SUV was found at a Washington state launch ramp near the Canadian border shortly after, and his boat turned up in Point Roberts.
Days later, on the run from police, he met his end. His mother defended his innocence, and police say a suicide note found on his laptop professed love for Fiore, describing her as the love of his life.
It also expressed jealousy and frustration at some of her relationships, and indicated Jenkins thought she was cheating on him.
