A day after 250 ticket holders to the Molson Canadian Hockey House -- one of the major party venues during the 2010 Olympic Games -- got emails saying their tickets were cancelled, the company running the venue says all tickets will be honoured.
Cam Hawkins, CEO of Vision Companies, told CTV News that the problem began with a computer crash.
"Our ticket managing software, when we brought it back up, determined that we were not able to fulfill all the orders -- that we had taken more orders than we physically had capacity for," Hawkins said.
So, the company sent out 250 cancellation emails.
Customers were furious.
On Thursday, the company looked for a solution.
"We've moved all the work boxes and ladders and everything out of the way and set up all the furniture, so that we know with absolute certainty that we have a seat, that we can fulfill all these orders," Hawkins said.
And late in the afternoon, the company determined that it could. It says now that all tickets will be honoured.
A notice on the the Molson Canadian Hockey House website states: "We wish to confirm that all legitimate pass purchases will in fact be honoured."
