A multi-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Langley has left one person dead and three others injured.

Langley RCMP believe that around 2:15 p.m. a pickup truck was eastbound on Fraser Highway between 240 and 244 streets when it crossed the centre line and collided with a minivan and another passenger vehicle.

The driver of the pickup, who was alone in his vehicle, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Two other people, one from each of the other vehicles, were also taken to hospital.

The second occupant of the passenger car died at the scene.

Police say Fraser Highway will remain closed while Langley Traffic Services and Integrated Collisions Analysis and Reconstruction Services investigate.

Police say the investigation is in its early stages and speed, impairment and weather conditions have not been ruled out as possible factors in the crash.
