Forestry giant Canfor is investing $40-million dollars in its Mackenzie sawmill in central B.C.
Canfor president Don Kayne says they're spending the money because the fibre supply in the Mackenzie region is strong.
Kayne says the investment reflects confidence in Canfor's ability to compete in the international market.
The improvement project will last most of this year and boost Canfor's capital investments in its B.C. facilities to over $600-million in the last three years.
