Homicide investigators have confirmed the identity of a man killed in an apparent targeted shooting in Surrey over the weekend.
Birinder Khangura, 29, was found shot to death in his truck Saturday in the 14500-block of 83A Avenue.
According to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, witnesses in the area saw a white minivan leave the scene after hearing the shots.
About 15 minutes later, a white Pontiac Montana minivan was found in flames on 141 Street close, according to police.
The hunt is now on for a suspect or suspects. Police said Khangura did not have a criminal record and believe the shooting was targeted.
