Well wishes are rolling in for incoming premier Christy Clark.
Premier Gordon Campbell, who's in Washington D.C., says Clark's victory is a turning point in B.C.'s history and a tremendous accomplishment, given the exceptional quality of all the candidates in the race.
Federal Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff congratulated Clark, saying he was thrilled that such an accomplished woman will become the province's 35th premier.
While interim NDP leader Dawn Black also congratulated Clark, she called on the incoming premier to immediately recall the legislature to address the serious economic and social challenges that need the immediate attention of government.
