Just when South Coast residents thought it was safe to break out the spring pastels, Mother Nature is donning an earmuff and mittens.
Snowfall warnings have been issued for eastern Vancouver Island, the Fraser Valley and Whistler with accumulations of five to 10 centimetres through the valley and 15 centimetres in Whistler.
Snow is piling on roadways in Chilliwack and Abbotsford, creating difficult and frustrating situations for drivers.

Blizzard conditions are present on the Coquihalla Highway and Hope-Princeton highways.
Highway One through the Fraser Canyon is also suffering winter conditions, including lane reductions in both directions at Jackass Mountain.
Snow is also forecast through much of the Kootenay region.
But residents of inland sections of the North and Central Coast, as well as those living in northeastern B.C. may have little sympathy.
That's because wind chill will make it seem close to -40 around Fort St. John while wind chill values down to -20 are expected through northwestern parts of the province.
