Investigators converged on a quiet residential street in North Vancouver after a man was found dead early Tuesday morning.

RCMP Cpl. Richard DeJong said officers are in the process of locating and notifying the man’s family.

The case was turned over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

Spokesperson Sgt. Stephanie Ashton said the killing is targeted. The deceased has been identified but he will not be named until next of kin is notified, she added.

Homicide team members converged on a neighbourhood near Mountain Highway and Wellington Drive, taping off a section of the street with yellow tape.

Sgt. Ashton said members have been canvassing for witnesses. Investigators could be seen focusing on a the trunk of a white Bentley parked on the side of the road.
