Police say two gang associates were the victims of a "wild west" style brawl at the Cecil strip club that ended in a double shooting.
One man was killed, and another seriously injured last night after a fight between two groups inside the Granville St. club spilled out onto the street.
Police arrived around 10:40 p.m. to find a 30-year-old Richmond man dead with a bullet wound to the head.
A 32-year-old Surrey man had also been shot in the leg. He is in hospital with serious injuries.
The incident started as a fight between two groups of men. Vancouver Police Const. Tim Fanning says both victims were on the same side in the fight.
Witnesses inside the club say the argument was quite heated, with tables overturned and glasses smashed.
Police are now looking for one shooter, but don't have a good description of the suspect yet.
More than 20 people were identified as potential witnesses after the shooting and were taken by bus to police headquarters to be interviewed.
Tow trucks took away at least four vehicles earlier this morning that may be connected to the shooting.
