CTV Vancouver | Extreme Commutes
How long is your commute?
On average, residents of Metro Vancouver spend 43.6 minutes commuting each way to or from work on transit, according to Statistics Canada. That's just under the national average of 44.8 minutes, but well above the 27.3 minutes Vancouver-area residents spend driving.
To get a better idea of what locals put up with on a daily basis, CTV Vancouver asked viewers to share their horror stories. Reporter David Molko then tagged along during their extreme commutes as part of a series on the long way home.
