Vancouverites woke up Tuesday morning to a stunning double rainbow, as the city broke temperature records.

The mercury soared to 15.1 degrees by 6 a.m., beating the previous November 8th high of 14.8 degrees in 1991.

By 9 a.m., it reached a balmy 16.6 degrees in the city.

Highs of 17 or 18 degrees were forecast for the day across the Lower Mainland, with some predictions suggesting the region could hit a high of 20 degrees.

CTV Weather Specialist Ann Luu said people should enjoy the warmth while they can: Rain rolls back in tonight and the rest of the week goes back to temperatures hovering around the seasonal average, with periods of rain.

Here are some of our favourite shots of the rainbow this morning.
