How a 25 year-old-man fell from a fourth floor balcony onto grass in Coquitlam, B.C., and then died, is now the focus of an intense police investigation.
Four men were immediately arrested after police responded to a 911 call that was placed at around 9:00 a.m., Thursday.
"It's not clear if we're dealing with a homicide, not clear whether we're dealing with an accident, or something else,'' said RCMP Cpl. Peter Thiessen.
The building's manager Larry Donaldson saw the men get handcuffed.
"I'm not too sure but I haven't seen them around here,'' he said.
It's not clear yet whether the victim was killed before he fell or died from the fall. He has not yet been identified.
Police aren't revealing whether weapons or drugs were involved but say there were items of interest in the suite.
One of the suspects -- 26-year-old Daniel Lovric -- has what police call significant gang connections.
"That individual is well known to this police agency and other police agencies in the Lower mainland,'' said Thiessen.
