Young, healthy, tame and on the market: A B.C. farmer has headed online in a bid to sell his shaggy herd of Tibetan yaks.
According to the ad posted to Craigslist by a relative of the Duncan rancher, the longtime farmer is getting a bit older and wants to move closer to his family -- but won't do so until "his yaks are settled in a nice new home."
The bull, three young females and two four-month-old calves are tame and friendly and it's expected the herd of bovids will sell for around $12,000.
"Tim has spent his life raising and training animals, with a focus on yaks for the last decade or so. He spends every day, nearly all day, caring for and working around his animals so they are very tame and friendly," the ad reads.
