B.C. has named a senior Yukon government regulator as its new superintendent of real estate.
Michael Noseworthy will take over the post effect October 19th.
The province says Noseworthy most recently served in Yukon as its superintendent of real estate as well as superintendent of insurance, registrar of lotteries and registrar of medical practitioners.
Premier Christy Clark announced in June that the province was appointing a new superintendent of real estate to take over regulation and rule-making authority from the B.C. Real Estate Council -- saying the industry had lost the right to self-regulate.
