TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. - Police have released the name of the 15th person killed by an avalanche in B.C. this winter.

Thirty-year-old Kelly Roy Siemens of the Hythe area of Alberta was killed Saturday while snowmobiling near Tumbler Ridge in northeast B.C.

He was among a party of six snowmobilers in the Babcock Meadows area.

Just the day before, an avalanche in the Monashee Mountains near Valemount, near the Alberta border, buried two snowmobilers, killing a 33-year-old man from Edmonton.

In the worst single incident, eight snowmobilers were killed in late December when hit by slides near Fernie in southeast B.C.
