A 36-foot pleasure craft went up in flames Wednesday off the coast of Stanley Park, but a small fleet of emergency responders managed to rescue everyone aboard.
The boat caught fire at around 5:30 p.m. near Siwash Rock, leaving a family of four stranded on the water.
But two Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services boats, Coast Guard personnel and a Vancouver police boat rushed to the scene and managed to transfer all the passengers to safety.
One family member was treated for minor smoke inhalation once they returned to the shore, but no other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
