Olympic organizers say tickets to 2010 Games events will get people on to public transit in Vancouver and Whistler for a nominal additional fee.
They wouldn't disclose what that fee will be but it's expected to cover both the cost of public transit and a standard ticketing service charge.
Two members of the committee say event tickets will grant access to public transit on the day of the event.
With no parking in Whistler, B.C. - home of Nordic events in 2010 - organizers are also hoping people will take advantage of a bus service to take Games spectators from one host city to the other.
The cost of a round-trip ticket between Vancouver and Whistler will be $25, around half the cost of a commercial bus service.
Organizers say they're trying to make transit as affordable and enticing as possible to keep people off the roads.
