A former university student from Vancouver has been charged with stalking and threatening Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence and her family.
Han Cong Zhao, 23, is being held in a Kentucky jail.
The judge in the case called his threats against the “Hunger Games” actress a "serious danger.”
Prosecutors say Zhao sent more than 200 messages and a threatening voicemail to the actress's brother Blaine Lawrence.
There are also reports the accused flew to Louisville in mid-April and asked police how he could contact Lawrence’s parents.
"I find you or you come to me. You got me really upset, when I am upset, wait and see what happens," Zhao reportedly said in the phone call.
Zhao has been ordered to have no contact with the actress.
After pleading not guilty in a bail hearing, his trial has been set for July.
In a statement, the Oscar winner's lawyer said the Lawrence family appreciates the "responsiveness and professionalism" of local police involved in the case.
