A unique spa has opened up in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighbourhood where you can get a manicure, a magic trick and even meet a princess.

From psychedelic yoga classes to do-it-yourself chocolate facial masks, Samaya Spa For Kids caters to children. It’s a place where little girls get to act like grown-up women for the day, enjoying sparkling drinks, sweets and decadent spa services.

Grade 2 student Daniella recently celebrated her 7th birthday at the spa with a perfect princess party, complete with pedicures, face masks and balloons.

"I think it's a fantastic idea for little girls to have a place to come to be little ladies. They're always in our makeup, our hair products, curling irons. Why not bring them here?" said Maria Coltellaro, Daniella’s mother.

Owner Mayan Molland says the idea to open a spa catering to kids came to her in a dream one night. Soon after, the Samaya spa was born, offering kid-friendly services like glitter tattoos, formaldehyde-free nail polishes and healthy products that are literally good enough to eat.

"We use all organic, natural ingredients and some of our products are even vegan," said Molland.

The business also offers glow-in-the-dark yoga sessions and some spa packages come complete with magicians or a visit from famous Disney faces, like Frozen’s Elsa.

The spa's only been open for a few months, but it's already getting a reputation as a popular place to host birthday parties. The owners are hoping to franchise the business in the future.

For prices, an edible chocolate facial costs $12, while a manicure is $15.  Unlimited yoga classes are $120 a month.

The spa caters to kids between the ages of 5 and fifteen.
