Do you think you look young for your age, or old?

Well, instead of getting people to guess, there’s now a new website that guesses your age based on an uploaded photo. And it’s taking the internet by storm.

How-Old.net was created by two Microsoft programmers as a fun side project in just one day. Within a few hours it had over 35,000 people try it out.

“We were shocked,” engineers Corom Thompson and Santosh Balasubramanian said in a blog post.

“We wanted to create an experience that was intelligent and fun could capture the attention of people globally.”

The tool was unveiled Thursday at the company’s Build 2015 conference.

The site uses facial recognition software to guess your age and gender based on attributes in the photo you upload to the website.

You can upload any photo up to 3 MB. As for the results, the accuracy depends on who you talk to.

While some people online said the tool guessed their age perfectly, others said it was grossly inaccurate.  Facial hair and beards seem to skew results.

I tested the tool using two photos both taken around my 30th birthday. The first guessed my age at 24, which was awesome, and the second was 35, which was less awesome.

CTV Morning Live traffic reporter Ann Luu got two very different results in her two uploads: Age 16 and 66.

Try the tool out for yourself here.

The CTV Morning Live team took the tool for a spin Friday morning, and the results weren't too far off!
