A 28-year-old Richmond man has been charged in a series of sex crimes spanning four Metro Vancouver cities over the last six years.
Mounties believe Novid Dadmand befriended victims on social media, identified himself as a modelling agent and set up photo shoots in exchange for money and gifts.
“It is during these meetings that the majority of the criminal offences are alleged to have occurred,” Cpl. Stephanie Ashton said in a release.
Dadmand, who sometimes went by the alias Robert Peako, appeared in provincial court Wednesday on 11 counts including sexual assault, break and enter, theft, and fraud.
The alleged crimes were committed in Richmond, North Vancouver, Surrey and Burnaby dating back to 2008. Few other details about the allegations have been released, in part because of a publication ban on the case.
