Vancouver police are looking for a woman accused of trying to chain closed the doors of a restaurant that’s been targeted by protesters since it opened.

Robyn Claire Pickell, a 25-year-old Vancouver woman, is wanted for mischief, Const. Brian Montague said in a news release Friday.

Montague said police observed a woman attempting to chain and lock the front doors of Pidgin, a trendy restaurant in the city’s Downtown Eastside, on Mar. 15.

Last month police sent a letter to a handful of protesters warning them that swearing, shouting, disturbing the peace or blocking the entrance to Pidgin could get them arrested.

Protesters have picketed the upscale eatery since it opened, calling it a symbol of gentrification that is helping displace many of the area’s low-income residents.

Anyone with information is asked to contact local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
