Suspicious package forces evacuation at Victoria City Hall

Victoria City Hall was evacuated Friday morning after a suspicious package was found at the building’s front entrance.

The package was discovered around 10 a.m. and officials forced staff out of the building “out of an abundance of caution,” according to the city’s website.

Police investigated the package and confirmed the situation was resolved shortly before noon.

Authorities haven’t revealed what was inside the package or why it was left at city hall.
