A suspected robber in Surrey, B.C., could face hard time for his latest crime, but you can bet he won't be taking his punishment sitting down.

RCMP Sgt. Roger Morrow says the man is recovering in hospital after an attempted home invasion at a suspected marijuana grow-op early Friday morning.

Morrow says the 25-year-old didn't get pot -- he got shot; once in the thigh and once in the bum.

Neither bullet wound is serious.

Police say the shooting victim was one of two men who entered the home. They were confronted by someone inside and left.

Investigators are looking for a second man who disappeared after the shooting but they say there's no threat to the community.
