Love your dog but not the mess that's part of the deal? Chris Olsen found some products at the PNE Marketplace designed to make life better for you and your pet.

Courtney Ball is selling Dog Rocks. It's not an update on the Pet Rock craze -- these rocks are not decorative. Dog Rocks are to get rid of unsightly urine burn marks on your lawn.

"You take the rocks out of the bag and put them in your dog's water bowl and they start acting right away," she said.

Ball says Dog Rocks take out trace minerals and nitrates from the water and those are the elements that burn your lawn.

"It's like if you over-fertilize your lawn with nitrogen -- it burns," she said.

Most people might be skeptical, but she swears that in four weeks you'll have no more new burn patches on your lawn.

CTV News also found the Miracle Mat in the Marketplace, which claims to be perfect for stopping muddy dog prints. Sheila Little swears by it.

"With our kitchen floor I was always having to sweep up excess dog hair and dirt and now it's cut it down to a quarter of what I was doing. I expect it to get even better when the weather worsens," Little said.

At the Pet Perfect stall, Tom McGregor is showing off his de-shedding tool.

It doesn't cut hair but it takes a lot out. He recommends using it two or three times in the first week to clean out the coat and then once every two or three weeks after that.

And with all that hair coming off in the initial brushing, McGregor recommends you use the Pet Perfect outside.

"Leave it for the birds. They'll take it and make a nest out of it," he said.

The Miracle Mat and Pet Perfect are also available online. Dog Rocks are now available in major pet supply stores across the Lower Mainland.
