New Westminster Police are interviewing witnesses to a stabbing that took place Friday afternoon near 10th and Columbia streets.
The call came in shortly after 2 p.m. that a man had been stabbed, police said.
Later in the afternoon, blood could be seen on a chair in the entryway of the Columbia Square Adult Learning Centre.
Police said there were quite a few people around at the time of the incident, and they’re taking time to identify and interview all potential witnesses.
Police tape could be seen blocking off a large section of the sidewalk and parking lot between the learning center and a bank on 10th Street.
The victim was transported to hospital with unknown injuries, police said.
