Nine people from British Columbia's Lower Mainland are facing a slew of charges after a two-year long investigation into a massive marijuana grow-op ring in the province's Cariboo-Chilcotin region.
Police found over 45,000 plants and say they're also trying to seize six properties under the province's proceeds of crime laws.
Mounties believe the buildings were custom-built to grow marijuana. All of the accused are set to appear in Williams Lake provincial court on September 10.
RCMP spokesman Const. Craig Douglass has said a single crop from the operation uncovered from Bridge Lake last week could produce as many as five million joints.
