Vancouver police say they’ve identified a person of interest in relation to a suspicious death outside a local nightclub earlier this month.

On Aug. 11, a 60-year-old man was punched and knocked to the ground during an altercation with another man outside Shenanigans Nightclub on Robson Street.

He was taken to hospital but left after refusing treatment.

Later that evening, he was found unresponsive on the floor of his West End apartment and died after being rushed to hospital.

It’s believed he suffered a serious brain bleed.

VPD investigators now say they’ve identified a 26-year-old man believed to be the other person in the scuffle, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

No charges have been laid in the case and police have not identified the man they’re looking for.
