A 19-year-old woman is in custody in connection with the apparent homicide of a woman in Campbell River.
A 39-year-old woman was found dead in a home shortly after police received a 911 call on Wednesday afternoon.
The teen and a 24-year-old injured man were also inside the residence. He was airlifted to hospital in Victoria, where he remains for undisclosed injuries. RCMP say they’re still not sure what part, if any, the man played in the woman’s death.
The RCMP Forensic Identification Team and Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit are working with the Coroners Service on the investigation.
Police have not commented on the teen's relationship to the deceased woman and the injured man.
