The perjury trial of Inderjit Singh Reyat has been delayed.

The case has been adjourned until March 7th to fix a new trial date.

Reyat was charged with perjury for allegedly lying during the trial of Ripudamin Singh Malik and Ajaib Singh Bagri.

He is currently serving a five-year manslaughter sentence for supplying explosives used in the Air India bombings that killed 331 people off the coast of Ireland in 1985.

Relatives of the victims were told about the guilty plea by RCMP.

The maximum penalty for perjury is 14 years.
