Vancouver police have determined a van that crashed and burst into flames Monday afternoon was not housing a mobile meth lab.
The vehicle collided with a car and rammed through a cement fence on Oak Street and 53rd Avenue before catching fire at around 3:15 p.m.
Police initially suspected the vehicle contained an illegal drug lab similar to the one seen on the hit TV series “Breaking Bad,” but a hazmat team eventually disconfirmed that theory.
Officers are still searching for two men who fled the van after the crash. Authorities have not released descriptions for either of them.
A man and woman who were in the car when it was struck were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
