A charge of second degree murder has been laid against a 38-year-old Abbotsford man following a fatal shooting in the Fraser Valley community on Tuesday night.

Robert Kenneth Hogan was charged last night and will remain in custody until a court appearance on July 24th.

He was arrested shortly after 32-year-old Alexander Vincent Paul was shot in the chest during an argument in a rural Abbotsford home.

Homicide investigators say the men knew each other but the incident is not linked to gangs, drugs or organized crime.
