After severing ties with a number of big-name players recently, it appears the B.C. Lions have decided to re-sign a potential free agent.

According to the Team 1040 Radio, the Lions have signed veteran kicker Paul McCallum to a multi-year deal. It will be McCallum's fourth season with the Lions since coming over from the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The 38-year-old McCallum connected on 83% of his field goals and did not miss an extra-point attempt in 55 tries last season.

McCallum began his CFL career with the now-defunct Ottawa Rough Riders in 1993 but spent 11 seasons in Regina.

This signing leaves the Lions with four unsigned free agents including Rob Murphy, Jason Jimenez, Jamall Johnson and Matt Kirk.
