Coquitlam Mounties are investigating after a fatal crash in Anmore Wednesday morning.
Police said the crash happened on East Road, between Sunnyside Road and Hummingbird Drive.
Traci King, whose daughter attends school nearby, arrived at the scene shortly after the crash.
She said a male jogger was struck and killed by a vehicle at around 9:20 a.m.
“The driver of the car was hunched over on all fours vomiting. I went to him immediately thinking he was hurt, but he was just distraught. He said ‘I think I just killed somebody.’”
King said she then saw the body of a man she had seen jogging minutes earlier in a nearby ditch.
King said the driver stayed at the scene and was very distraught and upset.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
