NEW YORK - Vancouver Canucks left-winger Alex Burrows was named National Hockey League first star of the week Monday.

He led all NHL scorers with seven points (six goals, one assist) last week. Burrows recorded hat tricks in consecutive games.

Anaheim Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller was the second star after posting a 4-0-0 record. He had a 1.50 goals-against average and .954 save percentage over the stretch.

Columbus Blue Jackets netminder Mathieu Garon was named third star. He went 3-0-0 last week with a 1.46 GAA, .940 save percentage and one shutout in four games.
