A young girl is in the hospital after falling off the seawall in Vancouver Saturday afternoon.
The girl, who is believed to be 12 years old, was riding her bike along the seawall near Prospect Point just before 4 p.m. when she fell into the water about 20 feet below, a BC Ambulance spokesperson said.
The Coast Guard took the girl to its Kitsilano base. She was then taken by ambulance to BC Children’s Hospital.
An ambulance spokesperson says the area is very rocky and the girl was very lucky.
She has non-life threatening injuries.
