Forty-one-year-old Duane Harvey Meyer of Mission has been identified as the victim of a May 9th homicide in Abbotsford.

Meyer is believed to have links to organized crime and his death has all the indicators of a targeted shooting, police say.

In a release, police say Meyer was visiting a home on the 1400 block of Kipling Street in Abbotsford when he was shot to death on the doorsteps at 10:40 p.m.

Investigators have not identified the killer and continue to look for anyone that has information regarding a silver Mercedes SUV that was seen in the area around the time of the shooting.

It is unknown if the vehicle played any part in the murder.
