Murder suspect Angus David Mitchell had formed a list of targets that included six people and six businesses before he was gunned down by police last week in Maple Ridge, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

The Royal Oak Sushi House in Burnaby where Mitchell allegedly shot two people to death on May 27 was on the list, Insp. Kevin Hackett told reporters at a Tuesday afternoon press conference.

Police say they found maps and addresses in Mitchell's van, and that he had planned out escape routes to use after executing the hits.

The 26-year-old murder suspect was killed in a shootout with RCMP following a massive police manhunt last Wednesday, the day after he allegedly opened fire on his 51-year-old ex-landlord.
