Police now believe that the man found dead last week in a parked car in New Westminster, B.C., was murdered.
The dead man, discovered Friday in an outdoor parking lot beside an apartment building on Royal Avenue and 3rd Street, has now been identified as 67-year-old Vancouver resident Patrick Alexander LeBlanc.
Investigators believe that Leblanc was murdered elsewhere, and then his body was dumped in the car where he was found.
Police say that will not reveal how he was killed, but say they have not found any evidence so far that the murder was connected to gangs, drugs or organized crime. The owner of the car has not been revealed.
