A court hearing for the man charged in connection to the sinking of a B.C. ferry has been delayed.
Karl Lilgert is accused of negligence in the deaths of Gerald Foisey and Shirley Rosette, who went down with the Queen of the North after it rammed an island and sank in 2006.
An assistant to Lilgert's lawyer gave no reasons when she asked for, and was granted, a two week adjournment in Vancouver provincial court today.
Lilgert, who wasn't in court, was the navigating officer on the bridge at the time of the crash.
A Transportation Safety Board report already concluded the only two crew members on the bridge failed to make a crucial course correction.
Lilgert is now scheduled to appear in court April 28.
