A dirt biker has died after colliding with a pickup truck in Langley, according to RCMP.

The crash happened on 232 Street near 72 Avenue at around 1 p.m.

Witnesses told RCMP the dirt bike was speeding northbound on 232 Street, passing vehicles on the right shoulder.

The dirt bike smashed into a pickup truck that pulled out from a stop sign on 72 Avenue.

Footage from CTV's Chopper 9 shows a massive dent in the side of the truck following the crash.

The bike driver, who has not been identified, was taken by ambulance to hospital where he died from his injuries.

The two people in the truck weren’t injured, according to RCMP.

The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service attended to the scene to continue an investigation into the fatal collision.

Investigators said they expected both roads to remain closed in all directions for several hours.
