The Canadian Forces (CF) Snowbirds aviation demonstration team will take to the Barrie skies, once again.
In a social media post on Tuesday, the team confirmed their two-day return on June 7 and 8, 2025.
Last year’s show featuring the CF Snowbirds celebrated the Royal Canadian Air Force’s 100th anniversary, drawing massive crowds to Kempenfelt Bay.
Over 20 pilots underwent rigorous training to execute precision formations, culminating in performances that featured the Snowbirds’ CT-114 Tutors flying in tight patterns and crafting art with aerobatic smoke.
"The economic impact major events like the Barrie Airshow have on our community is massive," said Barrie Mayor Alex Nuttall.
According to the Barrie BIA, the 2024 event, held in partnership with the City of Barrie and the Open Air Dunlop – Air Show, was one of the contributing events that helped boost $15 million into the local economy.
The City of Barrie said the popular show saw nearly 140,000 attendees contributing over $11 million.
