A teenage girl has been found and her father, who allegedly abducted her, has been arrested after an overnight standoff at a home in North Delta, B.C. on Monday.
Police issued an Amber Alert Sunday night after 15-year-old Breeze Boden went missing from her home in Vernon at around 11:30 p.m. Police said she may have been with her father, 37-year-old Shane Phalen, who was considered armed and dangerous.
Vernon RCMP released a description and licence plate of a vehicle the pair may have been travelling in and alerted police Phalen may have gone to a relative's home in Delta. At around 3 a.m. Delta police spotted a vehicle matching the description in the driveway of a home.
The Emergency Response Team surrounded the house in the 11600-block of 94B Avenue and a neighbour told CTV News snipers were set up across the street.
Police said negotiators were sent into the home, resulting in a peaceful resolution at around 7:30 a.m.
Police found Boden safe and unharmed and Phalen was arrested.
