A man is fighting for his life in an Abbotsford hospital after a stabbing Saturday morning.
The man was stabbed at around 11 a.m. outside of an apartment building on Switzer Avenue – a “fairly high-crime area” in central Abbotsford, according to police.
“It’s not unusual for us to be here,” said Sgt. Jeremy Lane.
Emergency crews found the victim lying on the ground in a parking lot with multiple stab wounds.
He was airlifted to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, Lane said.
Police are still trying to figure out what prompted the stabbing.
