Canada's Most Affordable and Unaffordable Housing
The Demographia International Housing Affordability Survey assess affordability using the median multiple, a figure determined by dividing median housing prices by residents’ pre-tax median household incomes. A higher number means less affordable. Housing in Canada is considered moderately unaffordable with a median multiple of 3.6, a slight deterioration from last year’s 3.5.
