Two more young men have been criminally charged for their alleged roles in Vancouver's Stanley Cup riot.

The eight counts against 19-year-old John Sawicki of Surrey and 20-year-old Ryan Dickinson of Coquitlam bring the total number of charges approved so far to 69 counts against 27 people accused of participating in the chaos of June 15.

Sawicki is charged with participating in a riot, two counts of mischief over $5,000 and arson. Dickinson is also charged with participating in a riot and two counts of mischief over $5,000, as well as breach of an undertaking.

Of the 27 people who have been charged so far, four have yet to be arrested. The Vancouver Police Fugitive Task Force has been brought in to track down "those hard-to-find individuals who think they can evade charges," according to a police press release.

On Oct. 31, the Vancouver Police Department announced that charges were being recommended against 50 men and 10 women. Crown prosecutors are still reviewing the recommendations against the remaining suspects.

Investigators have said that as many as 700 people could ultimately face charges, and that the investigation could take up to two years to complete. Police say they are still receiving three or four tips per day about suspected rioters.
