Smoke forces evacuation of Air Canada Jazz flight

An Air Canada Jazz flight from Victoria to Vancouver had to be evacuated Monday after smoke was spotted on board.

The cause of the smoke hasn’t been confirmed, but Vancouver International Airport said Flight 8074 landed without any problems and all its passengers and crew are safe.

The passengers were taken to the terminal by bus and the plane was towed to a gate.

YVR operations have not been affected.
