A 45-year-old West Vancouver hockey dad has been charged with assault after an alleged scuffle with another parent at a minor hockey game in March.

West Vancouver Police were called to Hollyburn Arena after a fight apparently broke out in the stands at a game between the Hollyburn Huskies and Semiahmoo Ravens.

Witnesses say two men were watching the game when one attacked an opposing player's father.

A 67-year-old Langley man suffered minor injuries, including bruising.

Christian Jarvis’s lawyer appeared in court Wednesday on his behalf, but declined to speak to CTV News.
